I wonder what they would've done had it been a Black or a Malfoy or a Lestrange due in July. |

I don't know how I even pretended to support this stupid government as long as I did. I know I certainly want to support people who murder newborn babies and their parents. Good god, you people are disgusting. For all your Foundation and Orphanage cockandbull, you've certainly are hypocritical as heck when it comes to people who aren't a part of your purism hailing fanclub. Do half you people even realise what you're supporting? Murdering people who disagree with you isn't going to silence protests, it's just going to cause more people to rise up when they realise what sort of show you're running.
There's a 7 year old boy right now who watched his mother die and a family of five whose father is dead because Marius Lestrange decided it'd be a cool idea to come toss killing curses around Terror Tours. That's just an example of the sort of people in charge of the Ministry right now. Think, people. |

[Order]
Used the portkey, am outside of the safehouse with an 18 year old girl who needs a healer and a boy whose mum Marius Lestrange just killed. Front lobby's in shambles, there were two casualties unless the building collapsed on top of Lestrange. Then three. I have no idea what to do right now. Is Patty okay? |

Holy smokes, someone seriously wallpapered up the Alley today. That ultimatum was some scary stuff. I know I had forgotten about a lot of this until now.
Except for what happened in Tinworth. I have a feeling I'm going to be giving the good folks at the bottled water companies a healthy portion of my paycheck for the rest of time.
It does kind of make a person think. |

I don't think there is anything that draws attention to the fact that the war is definitely not over than when you see children who've personally been affected by the violence that's gone on over the last few years. A woman came in today to schedule a vacation to upper Scotland this morning, and her daughter, who couldn't've been more than ten, was with her, and the girl had quite obviously been physically effected by some sort of disaster. She kept asking about stopping into Quality Quidditch, which makes me wonder if they'd been at the stadium during the McCormack vs McCormack game bombing last summer. It's one of those things where you're curious, but don't want to draw attention to the fact that you're curious in case they're embarrassed. Hopefully someday soon we won't have to worry about things like that happening anymore. |

My sister is a cougar. I am not alright with this.
Eighteen. EIGHTEEN. "He's been out of school for an entire year!" she says. You know why? Because Hogwarts is closed, not because he's old enough. "You can't say anything, Sturgis; Patty is older than you too." By THREE YEARS, not by fourteen. That's more than a decade. What could they POSSIBLY have in common? It's not even like he's some Adonis, he's a dirty little Scouse with backne. |

[Warded to the Order]
We've been focused moreso on the gigantic Mt. Tambora volcanic eruption of Indonesia sized explosions lately, and that's awesome. However, Damo's been going over the ID card with me (and Patty, when the DMLE isn't running her around like a racehorse) to try to get more of the fakes turned out. It'll probably be especially helpful for this Underground Railroad, since while we're using muggle means to get people places, magic has a (sometimes literal) way of following people around, and doing boyscouts when I was little taught me to always be prepared, so now they will be too. Holy Jehoshaphat the Daily Prophet building is gone. I can't stop staring out the window at work. I've had some people coming in claiming it was Death Eaters, others saying it was the foreign terrorists... Sure hope everybody's okay. I know I for one am glad I wasn't working there anymore, bloody hell. I'm sure the government or something will help everybody out who's effected by this. They're good people.

That last bit hurt to write. Brilliant job everybody! |

ORDER OF THE PHOENIX
- We're going to be sending out an alternative publication instead of the Prophet when we take it over.
- I'd like to have most of it done by Thursday so everyone working on Portkeys and explosives can have a looksie and tell me what they think.
- I could use some grammar editing too - figured it wouldn't be a good idea to ask Dobbs about that one though he's my normal proofing source. Man takes an hour to tell you he's going to the loo but I've never met anyone that good with words in my life.
- What I've got:
- I've written a few articles myself, mostly taken from stuff we talked about on Resistance Radio.
- What happened the day the Ministry fell
- List of Death Eaters
- Boycott on shops that don't serve Muggleborns
- Minister's fake assassination attempt.
- A lot of these are old news, but not everyone and their mother's heard it yet.
- What we need
- Article on the Mungo's bullshit.
- What else? Please help me brainstorm here
- If anyone else can write articles too I'll give you mine and Sturgis' firstborn.
- And if you're wondering, I'm writing this in his journal because mine is tagged by the Ministry.

Any time they decide to end this whole borders-being-closed thing would be fine by me. I don't think they were considering the safety of people with jobs in the travel industry when they made this decision. I get what they're trying to do and all but there's only so many times that you can convince a client that North Ireland really is the scariest place on earth. We've got vampires here too, but it's no Transylvania.
Luckily right now it's the summer season and we don't really have MUCH of a problem with people wanting to take advantage of the kitchy "Scare Your Pants Off" specials and are just looking to go on normal holidays, but Mr. Anderson is already starting to get a little tetchy about Halloween approaching.
[Former Hogwarts Refugees]
Hey guys, I haven't been around because of work and all, and I know there are still some people under healer supervision, but we need the rooms at the hotel free (just as a general announcement for anyone who is still there). I didn't realise anyone still was and Mr. Anderson is going to do my head in There are other people who have the room booked and I'll kinda get my arse reamed out if I'm the one responsible for somebody pushing the layover in the hold-out tenancy clause, especially since it's already a day over what was booked. I can try to get something else, but it would be really bad if I lost this job so please don't be a squatter? I can help with moving people, that's no trouble at all, we just need things free and clear so that housekeeping can get in there before eleven pm. |

{Warded to Hogwarts Refugees}

This is the Yarn Market Hotel in Dunster, Somerset with easy access to Exmoor National Park and West Somerset Railway. There are four beautiful inter-connecting rooms and a pay-by-use ice bar in each suite. My dad stopped in earlier and made sure that the curtains were closed and the rooms were warded, and no one is getting in or out before I can get there to ward each person who is coming in specifically.
It's a transient hotel for people who aren't sure whether they're coming or going; people who need hot plates and kitchenettes and all the other trappings of creative non-permanence. I doubt anyone will notice anything fishy going on if we're popping in and out, since that happens all the time in these sorts of shacks.
We only have the rental for two days, can check in starting tomorrow morning at five pm (so tonight is a no-go), and I could probably bargain a later check out time if Darcy is working. It's not perfect, but it'll get us all to the same place safely until we can divide otherwise and head separate ways, and it'll give the people who need more serious medical care a more comfortable surrounding to heal in. I'm sure if we need to figure things out beyond that, we'll have time to do so.
What am I forgetting? |
